I found the perfect table. The Bedford Project table from PB.

But I think this is a ridiculous amount of money. Really, it’s 2 3×3 bookshelves with a table top. Any ideas on how to get this? IKEA does not have the cube 3×3 shelves. Target’s version is still 0+shipping. All the furniture I’ve found that is within the price range is white. My office is dark wood. I’m willing to get more carpentry savvy, but I need a starting point.

I might would go to a hardware store and price out how much it would cost for the raw materials. Determine how long it would take you to make it and then decide if it’s worth it to make it your self then go from there.

If you get them white, you can always paint them a nice color that corresponds to other colors in the room.
